Wine County

Woodinville is known as Wine Country, as many of the state’s most prominent winemakers run tasting rooms in one of Woodinville’s many wine districts around town. Beyond the 130 wine-tasting rooms, Woodinville also has a lively brewery scene with 20 CornersTriplehornMétierSumerianBlack RavenCrossbuck, and Good Brewing

Finally, don’t miss a tour of Woodinville Whiskey‘s distillery. Sample their line of whiskey offerings, and make sure to try the Bourbon Maple Syrup.

Outdoors

To escape the hustle of the busy wine county tourist activities, you can retreat to one of Woodinville’s parks and outdoor areas. The Sammamish River Trail, a paved bike trail, runs through the busy wine district and can take you along the rural river valley south to Redmond or north towards Bothell to eventually intersect with the Burke Gilman Trail, which takes you to Seattle. Additionally, the newly opened Eastrail, a gravel trail, connects Woodinville to the Totem Lake area of Kirkland.

If you want to get away from a paved trail, the Tolt Pipeline Trail runs from the Sammamish River Valley east to the Snoqualmie River Valley. Paradise Valley Conservation Area is a 793-acre forest popular with hikers, runners, and mountain bikers.
